As someone who works for a volunteer management software company, we’ve seen a huge increase in use of online orientation and online volunteer training due to COVID. And as an adjunct faculty member of many years, I want to stress the importance of “garbage in/garbage out”. Training needs to be carefully designed whether online or in-person. The best online training I’ve seen involved a combination of video and engaging activities that reinforced the learning. Thanks for this video. You raise some key points.
Thank you, Lisa, for your comments. I couldn’t agree more that training needs to be carefully designed regardless of how or where it is delivered. Engagement is key for learning over any platform! Thanks for your contributions.
