Are you a leader of volunteers within the first five years of your role? Then please share your voice!
The Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA) has launched a survey as part of its job analysis process to ensure that the professional certification (CVA) is up to date and future oriented.
The Council is specifically seeking to reach leaders of volunteers with 5 or fewer years’ experience leading or working with volunteers to inform the CVA exam designed for leaders of volunteers with 3 years experience.
It has been a decade since the last job analysis was conducted by CCVA to determine the elements of professional practice in volunteer administration and they’d love for YOU to consider completing the survey.
Take the survey today! (Click the link or paste this in your browser: https://forms.gle/Wg6iupcP8kqZtRir8). It will stay open until at least April 30, 2025.
Thank you for your insights and participation.
Additional Background The purpose of the CCVA job analysis is to revise and update a set of core competencies and skills necessary for volunteer administrators with three years of experience to be successful in carrying out their professional responsibilities. It has been a decade since the last job analysis was conducted by CCVA to determine the elements of professional practice in volunteer administration. Changes in the practice of volunteer administration that have emerged in that period include: – Widespread and expansive changes to workplaces resulting from the pandemic. – Increasing evidence of the part time nature of many volunteer administration roles. – Increasing polarization in communities and around issues that are affecting how people are engaging in volunteer service. – Evidence that the current CVA skill and competency list is too complex for the stated expected experience level of 3 years. |
