Capacity-building Initiatives
Volunteer engagement is a proven strategy for building capacity. Through years of work with large national organizations and small community cohorts, VQ Volunteer Strategies has developed models that leverage assessment, training, and coaching to increase competence and capacity to achieve mission. In cohorts or on their own, organizations assess current practices, identify opportunities to innovate with new engagement practices or infrastructure, enhance organizational learning, and accelerate measurable impacts.
Through new skills-based volunteer roles, member engagement initiatives, training protocols, or other innovations, organizations test new ideas, increase efficiency and effectiveness, and cultivate new champions for engagement within the organization and beyond.
Through our field-tested models such as Volunteer Accelerators and High Impact Volunteer Engagement, organizations:
- Receive advanced training in volunteer engagement.
- Acquire tools to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Practice new skills and techniques in a supportive learning environment.
- Nurture a community of practice with other committed organizations.
- Build strong staff and volunteer partnerships.
- Gain tools and skills that support future volunteer engagement efforts.
